Official music video for Blockhead’s “The Music Scene”

3 Comments Illustration, Inspiration, Motion Graphics, Video

This is an amazing animated video for the artist Blockehead. The style reminds me of Hayao Miyazaki’s “Princess Mononoke”… organic and free flowing.

“An animated mind melt into a post human New York where TV and animals rule. All cast to the sincerely melodic soul of Blockhead’s ‘The Music Scene.’”

No Comments Inspiration, Site of the week

Subaru is throwing punches at the mid level sedan market creating a fictitious car model named “Mediocrity” and showing how Subaru is standing out in this market. It’s actually quite hilarious.

HTML5 Comic book – Never Mind The Bullets

2 Comments Code, CSS, Design, HTML, Illustration, Inspiration, Javascript

HTML 5 has created a lot of buzzzzzzz. It has been named “The Flash Killer”. Which in my opinion is wrong… at least for the next couple years till technology throws another wrench in things, flash will still be VERY useful . There are however things that HTML & JQuery can pull off that warrant’s projects not being built in flash. Enough of my POV on HTML5 v.s. Flash.

“Never Mind The Bullets” was a created by Microsoft & Steaw Web Design. It shows a different approach to the comic book experience with enhanced effects and movement with parallax. Move your mouse around and check out this awesome example of what HTML 5 is capable of.

Documentary – Influencers

6 Comments Inspiration, Video

This looks really good. It reminds me of the Helvetica documentary.

“INFLUENCERS is a short documentary that explores what it means to be an influencer and how trends/ideas become contagious today in music and fashion. Directed by Paul Rojanathara and Davis Johnson, the film is a Polaroid snapshot of New York influential creatives (advertising, design, fashion and entertainment) who are shaping today’s pop culture.”

The full feature will be available starting October 27th.
